球拍拉線
有天然羊腸線(也有牛腸線), 尼龍及聚酯和芳輪纖維等, 尼龍線彈性好, 耐用及較軟接近天然羊腸線, 價格也平宜, 職業及業餘90%選用尼龍線. 線的粗度分別是15L - 19, 後面L字代表線的粗度比相同號數幼細一點, 16-17號線為主流, 球線細, 手感好, 擊球時對”抓球”就越多, 可產生旋轉, 但不耐用.
拉線磅數
一般55-65磅之間, 生產商在球拍都有標明推薦拉線磅數, 首次拉線見議取一個中間平均值磅數, 當獲得了理想的手感和力量後, 再拉時就可決定增加或減少合適磅數. 拉線緊, 球線硬, 控制好, 但相對落點較淺, 拉線鬆, 球飛越高, 球的落點就越深. 有一點要注意, 拉線後, 約在24小時內會失去10%的拉力, 隨後, 拉力會逐漸減少, 球線彈力少, 會失去抓球的功能及控制和力量, 當網球線失去了30%以上的拉力, 就需要再重新穿線.
初學者建議可選用已連線穿好的基本球拍, 到時, 網球水平提高後, 可選較高質量的球拍及合適拍線材料和磅數.
減震器
擊球時拍線產生震動, 由拍頭傳到拍柄, 為了減少震動傳到手臂, 可以使用減震器, 使用減震器或會降低擊球手感, 但可減少網球肘的傷患, 建議初學者使用減震器, 可有效減少震動作用.
吸汗帶
握柄加一層吸汗防滑帶可以保護球拍不受損害和腐蝕, 吸收了濕淋淋的汗液, 握拍時, 手腕更加乾爽舒適, 可以起到防滑的作用和穩定.
